The American Luchacore Championship is a title contested in Heartland Wrestling Association. On June 10, 2009, Tim Donst destroyed the HWA Cruiserweight Championship thus HWA official President Tim Tatum created the title to replace the Crusierwieght Championship. The rules of the division are all American Luchacore division matches have 30 minute time limits. Instead of the standard ten count, wrestlers will have a count of 20 when they are on the outside of the ring. When on outside for that 20 count, anything goes.
Being a professional wrestling championship, it is not won via direct competition; it is instead won via a predetermined ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a wrestling angle. The current champion is Sid Fabulous, and is in his first reign as champion. There have been a four reigns by fours wrestlers with one vacancies. The only vacancy came when Aaron Williams vacated the title to focus on the HWA Heavyweight Championship.
